Belarusian modern pentathlon team wins the 2017 UIPM World Cup

Out of 26 countries, the Belarusian modern pentathlon team surprised the audience by winning the gold medal of the team-relay mix’s competition, at the UIPM World Cup, which took place at the Cairo International Stadium, in Egypt.

The pair who competed at the team-relay mix’s competition were Kirill Kasyanik and Iryna Prasiantsova.

At the women’s competition, Belarusians Anastasia Prokopenko, Iryna Prasiantsova, Tatsiana Khaldoba, and Volha Silkina, ended the seventh, the fourteenth, the fifteenth, and the thirty first, respectively.

Moving to the men’s competition, Belarusian Pavel Tsikhanau, Ilya Palazkov, Kirill Kasyanik, obtained the thirteenth, the twenty first, and twenty fifth places, respectively.
Belarusian players showed great performance in this prestigious event. In this regard, coach of the Belarusian team, Waldemar Marek De Makay, told The Minsk Herald “We were working very hard for this moment, players did not miss a single training and were always punctual.”
